Kristina Sclafani, Lic. Ac., Dipl. MAOM

Kristina Sclafani received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest college of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the United States. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and holds a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is also certified as a Tong Ren practitioner after working extensively with Tom Tam, the founder of Tong Ren Healing Therapy.

Kristina has always had a strong passion for Chinese medicine and homeopathic healing. She learned through her family to address illnesses with Eastern and Western treatments and healing practices. Medicine was always administered with complementary and alternative methods to restore the body to health. Kristina’s grandmother taught her how to cook with the seasons and instilled in her the belief that nutritious food is often the best way to achieve and maintain good health. Kristina has long viewed pain as a signal that disharmony exists in the body and has always sought alternative or complementary ways to restore well-being.

Kristina’s passion for pursuing a career in acupuncture and Chinese medicine stems from her personal experience with the benefits of these practices. She has personally benefitted from acupuncture and herbal formulas as treatments for various illnesses and maladies; sometimes in the case where conventional treatments were unavailable or unable to provide symptom relief. Receiving such simple and non-invasive treatments that lead to complete symptom abatement caused Kristina to want to learn more about acupuncture and to share it with others. She always strives to remedy illness and physical maladies in the most natural, non-invasive way possible, with the fewest side effects and with maximum physical benefits.

A professional figure skating coach and past competitor for over 20 years, Kristina has always had an interest in sports and sports medicine. With her understanding of conditioning the body both on and off the field to maintain peak performance, she is excited to be able to put her skills to use with athletes of all kinds.

Robin Hammond, Lic. Ac.

Licensed Acupuncturist

Robin is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture and holds a Masters in both Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is nationally board certified by the NCCOM and is a Licensed Acupuncturist under the Ma Board of Registration in Medicine. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology at UMASS Amherst where she also competed on the IHSA Umass Equestrian Team. She is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor through Body Matrix Flow; prior to earning her Masters worked as an exercise therapist for a postural therapy and functional movement clinic.

Robin found acupuncture initially after experiencing whiplash from a horseback-riding injury and was amazed at the relief it provided from headaches, neck pain, and sleep issues. She has always been drawn to holistic healing modalities that aim to balance the body naturally, with as little interference as necessary. She believes in a complementary approach with Eastern and Western medicines. In her sessions, she blends a combination of training and education with intuition to attune to areas and acupuncture points that will help clear blockages, move energy, and ulitmately restore harmony in the system. It's important to Robin that her patients feel heard, supported, and connected with while receiving treatment. Her specialities include nervous system stress, anxiety, depression, fertility, women's health, insomnia, and digestive disorders.
